Welcome to the Panhellenic community at UCLA! My name is Ella Hernand, and I am honored to serve as the 2026 Panhellenic President. 

 

This community holds a special place in my heart, and I am confident that it will become just as meaningful to you. With 11 diverse chapters and over 2,000 members, the Panhellenic Council is the largest women’s organization on campus. Each chapter offers a supportive, welcoming, and empowering space where you can discover more about yourself, build meaningful connections, and grow in ways you may not even expect during your time at UCLA. 

 

When I first arrived at UCLA, I was overwhelmed and anxious. Formal recruitment seemed daunting, classes were starting, and I was beginning to question if I’d ever find a place where I belonged. Fast forward to Bid Night as I ran down Hilgard to a house full of strangers, hoping it might finally feel right. I had no idea that house would become my home, and those strangers would become my closest friends – the kind who feel like family.

 

Joining my chapter changed everything. It quickly became the place where I felt safe, understood, and genuinely supported. But my journey didn’t stop there. Building relationships with women across the Panhellenic community has been one of the greatest privileges of my college experience. These women believed in me when I couldn’t yet believe in myself, challenged me to step outside of my comfort zone, and supported me through all of the highs and lows of college.

 

There is a place in our Panhellenic community for you. Together, we will continue to cultivate an environment where every woman feels valued and empowered. Please know that as you embark on this journey, you are never alone. I am beyond excited to cheer you on as you begin this amazing chapter of your life – I guarantee it will be unforgettable.
