Letter from the President
Welcome to the UCLA Panhellenic Council, the largest women’s organization on campus! My name is Maya and I am the 2019 Panhellenic President.
In my (almost) three years as a Panhellenic woman, I can confidently say that I have grown to be someone I would have never imagined a few years ago. I joined a sorority with the sole intention of finding at least one friend here in the vast student body of UCLA, but what I got was much more than that.
Coming from out of state and not knowing anyone at UCLA was terrifying, but also a great opportunity for me to experience new things, explore a diverse community, and meet some amazing people (whether or not I realized it at the time)!
I attribute most, if not all, of those initial experiences to the Panhellenic Community and those that I met within it. The Panhellenic Association at UCLA prides itself in its traditions of excellence in leadership, community service, and scholarship. Our chapters exist ultimately to provide support for all women on campus and in their future endeavors. If a community of hard-working, kind hearted, and extraordinary women is something you are interested in, we would love for you to look into joining a sorority here at UCLA.
This group of women and its 13 chapters offer a unique network of support, sisterhood, and inspiration. Whether or not you choose to join one of our chapters, we wish you all the best and look forward to supporting you in your academic career. Stay tuned for programming open to all female-identifying students throughout this school year!
If there is anything I can do to support your time at UCLA please do not hesitate to reach out! My email is: firstname.lastname@example.org
