What is Recruitment?

Formal recruitment, which takes place at the beginning of every school year in the Fall, is the process by which active members of our 10 NPC member chapters meet potential new members (PNMs) interested in joining the Panhellenic community. PNMs have the opportunity throughout this weeklong process to discuss with current members their sororities' values, ideals, and activities.

The general structure of Fall 2025 Formal Recruitment will follow an in-person model. Accommodations can be requested.

A majority of PNMs obtain membership in a Panhellenic organization through the formal recruitment process, but depending upon membership totals, some chapters may provide informal opportunities to join their organizations throughout the year.

Recruitment is now open. If you have any questions or are interested in informal recruitment opportunities, email Lauren at recruitment@uclapanhellenic.com.

Any female-identifying student is eligible to participate in Panhellenic formal recruitment and join a chapter if they are a regularly matriculated undergraduate student at UCLA. Any enrolled undergraduate student who has been granted full-time status may participate in formal recruitment, though each chapter has its own requirements for membership. To participate in recruitment, a female-identifying student may not be an initiated member of any National Panhellenic Conference sorority.

Letter from Our Team

Welcome to the world of UCLA Panhellenic Recruitment! We are so happy that you are interested in joining our amazing community.

UCLA Panhellenic is made up of 10 incredible chapters. Each has something unique to offer its members, but all yield the benefits of being part of the larger community as a whole. We are involved in clubs, majors, and organizations all over campus but all 2,000+ of us share a common home in Panhellenic.

As the largest women’s organization at UCLA, Panhellenic is determined in creating a community of inclusivity: one that holds ourselves accountable, continues to educate our members, and progresses towards a more diverse and welcoming organization.

We are working to dismantle institutional bias and make this community more accessible to all female-identifying individuals within the UCLA community. We are currently engaging in conversations about how to change recruitment and make it a more inclusive and accessible process.

The primary goal of our organization is to empower our women by providing them with a support system as they navigate the challenges of college life in addition to supplying social, academic, and professional opportunities. We hope that the benefits of sisterhood extend beyond your time in college, for years to come! The Panhellenic community is more than just a social organization; we aspire to positively impact our members and the larger Bruin community.

We hope this website gives you a small glimpse into what being a member of the Panhellenic community is all about! We are thrilled to have the chance to show you all of our wonderful chapters during the upcoming Fall 2025 Formal Recruitment and to help you find your perfect fit. Thank you so much for visiting, and please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!

Yours truly,

Lauren, Isabella, Katherine, Sarah, Ava
